NEWS & EVENTS / March 15, 2010 // UAE's Ambassador to India, H.E. Mohamed Sultan Abdalla Al Owais attended the state reception given by the Government of Kerala to welcome the Jewel of Muscat.

The Jewel of Muscat arrived at the outer harbour in Kochi, India on Monday 15th March 2010. The Jewel, an Omani ship inspired by a 9th Century hand sewn sailing ship, has taken 27 days to sail from Muscat, Oman to Kochi. This completes the first leg of an epic voyage to Singapore for this reconstruction of an ancient ship following ancient trade routes.
