NEWS & EVENTS / October 9-11, 2009 // Ambassador Mohamed Sultan Abdalla Al Owais visited Mumbai, Maharashtra, from 9th to 11th October, 2009. The main objective of the visit was to meet and support UAE companies in India and to meet with leading Indian companies who have business interest with the UAE and to promote UAE as the preferred destination for Indian investment.

During his visit the Ambassador made a courtesy call on Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India and exchanged information on mutual co-operation.

The Ambassador later met with the Country Managers for Etisalat DB Telecom India Pvt. Ltd. and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Etihad Airways.

The Ambassador also had meetings with the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry and two of Mumbai’s leading Indian companies - Reliance Industries Ltd. and Larsen & Toubro Limited.
