NEWS & EVENTS / October 16-17, 2009 // Ambassador Mohamed Sultan Abdalla Al Owais visited Tiruvananthapuram, Kerala from 16th to 17th October 2009. He met with Hon'ble Mr V S Achuthananthan, Chief Minister of Kerala. Ambassador also attended a luncheon meeting with the Non-Resident Keralites' Affairs (NORKA) department officials. Hon'ble Mr V S Achuthananthan, Chief Minister of Kerala, who is the Chairman of NORKA also attended the luncheon meeting. The United Arab Emirates investments, visa and attestation issues and the information on Keralites jailed in the UAE were discussed.

Ambassador had a dinner meeting hosted by Mr T Balakrishnan, Principal Secretary to Commerce and Industry Minister. The dinner was attended by important Kerala bureaucrats from Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and the private sector companies.
