UAE Ambassador H.E. Mohamed Sultan Abdalla Al Owais attended a three day international Seminar on “Socio- Cultural Exchange between The United Arab Emirates and State of Kerala” on the 17th July at VJT hall, Trivandrum in Thiruvananthapuram. The event organized by the department of Arabic, University of Kerala.

H.E. the Ambassador delivered a speech, in which he praised the level of organization of the seminar, and pointed to the depth of relations between the UAE and Kerala. The Ambassador stated that the government and people of UAE give great importance to the relations with India in particular to the Kerala state.  “On the behalf of the People of My country, I wish to reiterate the contribution of Kerala's expatriate community in the UAE, who account for 55 percent of Non-Resident Indians. Your community has played a major role in Economic development of our country and is highly respected for its professionalism and perfectionism” UAE Ambassador Said.

The Seminar topic is meant to unveil and validate various aspects of the deep rooted and uninterrupted bond and mutuality between the two nations, particularly, Kerala and the United Arab Emirates.
